About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to join our team at HMP Littlehey, a Category C & Male prison. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and gas systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve complex technical issues and provide expert advice on maintenance and repairs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of two years' experience working in a similar role as a heating engineer, combustion engineer, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
  • Familiarity with and ability to work to Gas Safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry Standards.
  • Experience of working with commercial catering gas appliances is highly desirable.
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
  • CCN1 - Core domestic gas safety and relevant domestic appliance units.
  • COCN1 - Core commercial gas safety certificate and relevant commercial units.
