Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Jimbo's Community Nursery, a specialist early years education and childcare provider in Leeds. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and develop
  • Develop and implement engaging educational programs that cater to the needs of children with additional needs
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless care and education delivery
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the well-being and safety of children and staff

Jimbo's Community Nursery is part of Leeds Mencap, a local charity that provides services to children and young people with learning disabilities and their families. We are committed to providing high-quality care and education that meets the unique needs of each child. Our nursery is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and is known for its specialist playroom that supports children with additional needs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare or a related fieldExperience working with children with additional needsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA commitment to providing high-quality care and education that meets the needs of each child
