As a Graduate UI Artist, you will be part of a collaborative environment where you can create your best work, learn from industry experts, and work alongside future leaders in the gaming industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including game design, art direction, and development, to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality UI elements.
  • Design, create, and implement captivating UI components, including menus, HUDs, icons, buttons, and other interactive elements, that enhance the overall gaming experience.
  • Develop visually appealing UI assets, icons, and animations that align with the game's art style and narrative.
  • Ensure the UI is visually appealing, on-brand, and aligned with the overall artistic direction of the game.
  • Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to present UI concepts and iterate based on feedback.
  • Work closely with the UI team, play testers, and game designers to refine and optimize user interactions and flows.
  • Develop animation and motion graphics for UI elements to create fluid and premium UX.
  • Collaborate with engineers to implement screens and assets into the game engine while considering performance and technical constraints.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, UI/UX best practices, and advancements in game UI design.

Requirements

  • A strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design work in games or related industries.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Good understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with motion graphics and animation, bringing UI elements to life.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A passion for video games and an interest in player psychology and behaviors.
  • The ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Desirable

  • Experience with Unreal Engine or other game engines is a plus.
