About the Role:

Omega Resource Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager to join our leadership team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of Electrical Engineers and Hardware Design Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead a small team of Electrical Engineers and Hardware Design Engineers, providing technical direction and guidance to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Project Management: Work closely with Project Managers to develop and implement solid delivery plans for Electrical Engineering and Hardware Design work packages.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical direction and ensure compliance with customer specifications and legal regulations.
  • Resource Management: Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of Electrical Engineering and Hardware Design resources.
  • Process Improvement: Develop, maintain, and improve Electrical Design processes and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure the availability of high-quality resources to support peak demands.
  • Internal Standards: Create, maintain, and improve internal standards, templates, libraries, methods, and best-practices to ensure the highest possible efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Manufacturing management and supervision to ensure processes, standards, and methodologies are aligned between departments.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor the team's output in line with project requirements and audit the quality of work being produced to ensure best-in-class and right-first-time.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Minimum of BEng in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in a relevant technical delivery or management role.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Subject Matter Expert in electrical control systems.
