About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cancer Pathways Facilitator. As a key member of our Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Teams, you will play a vital role in improving pathways and ensuring swift diagnosis and treatment of suspected and confirmed cancer patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with our Cancer Teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Recognised educational standards, i.e. GCSE 'O' Level Grade A-C or equivalent in English Language.
  • A level qualification or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal with a wide range of NHS staff.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and use initiative in planning daily tasks.

Person Specification
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications.
  • Previous experience of working within a team and also alone.
  • Experience of dealing with changes to the service in a positive way.
  • Recent experience of working in a capacity & demand target-driven service.
  • Understanding and experience of acute hospital outpatient/inpatient pathways.
  • Proven recent experience of working within the NHS.
