Job Title: Leakage Detection Engineer

United Utilities is looking for an experienced Leakage Detection Engineer to support our wastewater networks in delivering against regulatory targets and customer promises for leakage control. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying and assessing appropriate leakage detection methodologies, depending on the technical requirements of the area being assessed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deployment and assessment of leakage detection methodologies
  • Collaboration with the Network Maintenance Alliance (NMA) for timely and efficient repair and resolution of leakage issues
  • Proactive private leakage detection to resolution
  • Liaising with colleagues to ensure compliance with Health and Safety Legislation, including confined space entry and dynamic risk assessment
  • Providing expert advice on leakage detection methods and technologies

Requirements:

  • GCSE grade C or above, City and Guilds, or equivalent technical qualifications
  • Experience of operating machinery, equipment, and tools within a difficult working environment
  • Excellent team working and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team

Salary: £33,501 per annum
