About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with head and neck oncology diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage patients with swallowing and communication disorders related to head and neck cancer
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor patient progress
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff
Requirements
  • Recognized degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Registered member of the RCSLT
  • Current registration with HCPC
  • Postgraduate training in dysphagia to Level C 'Dysphagia Training and Competency Framework (2014)' or equivalent
  • Member of relevant SIG/CEN
