An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Forth Valley Physiotherapy Neuro Rehabilitation Rotation. This rotation offers a unique training and development opportunity for Physiotherapists passionate about neuro rehabilitation.

The rotation consists of START (ESD for Stroke), Forth Valley Neuro Rehabilitation Team, Specialist Rehabilitation (bed based rehab within Bellfield Centre in Stirling) and in patient Acute Stroke Rehabilitation. The Stroke Transition and Rehabilitation Team (START) is a community based MDT treating Stroke patients in their home environment.

As a Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist, you will provide assessment and rehabilitation to patients across Forth Valley who have been discharged from Acute Stroke for a period of up to 6-8 weeks. You will work closely with colleagues across the inpatient Stroke service and the wider community rehabilitation teams.

The successful applicant will provide direct patient care, have specialist clinical knowledge and highly developed clinical decision making skills, they must be passionate in the provision of rehabilitation and improving the lives of people living with stroke and their families.

The applicant should possess the ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads and be flexible in a busy environment. The service is based in Falkirk Community Hospital and covers the whole of Forth Valley.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
