Senior National Account Manager

We are working with a fast-growing, VC-backed scale-up in the food industry, where health, wellness, and 100% natural, plant-based products are at the core of the business.

The Role:

This is a critical commercial hire in an established business, offering the opportunity to achieve some quick wins in the short term. In the longer term, the company envisions this role evolving into a Head of Sales position, providing a clear path for career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and meet sales targets across major UK retailers.
  • Win new business with key retail accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for growth and risk mitigation.
  • Negotiate terms, promotions, and joint business plans to ensure mutual profitability.
  • Align sales strategies with brand missions alongside the marketing team.
  • Provide insights on market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to inform strategy.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on sales, marketing, and supply chain initiatives.

  • A proven track record in FMCG account management.
  • Experience managing UK retailers is essential.
  • You possess excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build long-lasting relationships at all levels.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving sales growth and profitability.
  • A strategic thinker with a talent for developing and executing comprehensive account plans.
  • Data-driven and highly analytical.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
