Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plastics Moulding Specialist to join our team at UNITED CAPS as an Injection Moulding Expert.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our manufacturing department, guaranteeing production service levels are consistently met.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Lead
  • Adhering to safe working practices and BRC regulations
  • Completing tasks such as repair and preventive maintenance of site primary plant and building assets
  • Rectifying breakdowns efficiently and effectively
  • Implementing improvements to reduce breakdowns using lean methodologies
  • Providing solutions for improving repeatability and reliability of production outputs
  • Collaborating with suppliers to enhance mean time between failure (MTBF) of parts
  • Attending Machine Expert meetings at European sites as required
  • Developing new maintenance programs to boost operational efficiencies
  • Installing new equipment and training staff to transfer skills across functions

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Previous extensive experience in injection moulding
  • Multi-skilled abilities (ideally)
  • Excellent communication skills and autonomy to work independently or as part of a team

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $40,000. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm, with flexibility. Occasional EU travel may be required for team events and project meetings.
