About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing support to our Multi-Skilled Technicians, covering all aspects of maintenance tasks primarily on the West Fleet DMUs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist FO3 grade Engineers in servicing and maintaining Rail vehicles
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment as required
  • Maintain batteries and perform underframe train cleaning
  • Ensure rail vehicles are safe to be moved after work has been completed
  • Couple and uncouple, shunt, and prepare rail vehicles when trained to do so
  • Present trains to customers in a correctly marshalled and fully prepared condition
Requirements
  • Able to exchange information to solve problems and participate in decision making
  • Able to create and maintain safe conditions for work activity
  • Actively participate in improving processes and safe operational flexibility
  • Shift work of nights and weekends
