The Role

As our Location Technology Lead, you will:

  1. Define and Drive Strategy: Develop and lead the location technology strategy, driving innovation and growth.
  2. Analyse and Iterate: Define key metrics, analyse data, and implement improvements to enhance the technology continuously.
  3. Technical Innovator: Develop groundbreaking solutions in complex, data-driven environments, leveraging expertise in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or advanced sensor technologies.
  4. Hands-On Technical Leader: Design, develop, and deploy complex systems, including data collection, processing, visualisation, and algorithm optimisation.
  5. Innovative Problem Solver: Pioneer new techniques and improvements in areas such as sensor fusion, motion data integration, and machine learning for real-time applications.
  6. Python and ML Proficient: Skilled in Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and PyTorch for R&D and multi-dimensional operations.
  7. Collaborative Team Player: Work with Android, web, and backend teams to integrate solutions, ensure data integrity, and optimise performance.
  8. Visualisation and Data Analysis Expert: Build tools for visualising and analysing data, ensuring accuracy and clarity in tracking user movements.
  9. Performance Optimiser: Experienced in using tensors and other techniques for fast computation and performance optimisation.
  10. Metric-Driven Communicator: Select key metrics, visualise data to evaluate effectiveness, and clearly communicate progress and results to the wider team.
  11. Future-Oriented Developer: Enthusiastic about R&D for future advancements, including background location tracking, enhanced particle filters, and multi-platform integration.
  12. Other areas of expertise that may be a good fit for this role include extensive experience in robotics, robotics motion, SLAM technology and particle filtering.
