Project Manager

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Oxford. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering medium to large-sized Life Science and Tertiary Education related projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the delivery of Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
- Provide effective support to Assistant/Graduate Project Managers.
- Ensure commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time.
- Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team.
- Identify and act upon business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities.
- Be the primary interface with AECOM clients (new and existing).
- Provide leadership within the project management business and provide leadership and mentoring to the team.
- Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant training.
- Manage the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed time-scales and quality standards.
- Coordinate and sign off on all management information produced by project management teams prior to issue.
- Win clients through strong business development skills.
- Manage tender documents, appraisals, and negotiations.
- Experience of successfully delivering construction projects.
- Experience of working in or managing multi-site operations.
- Good Health, Education, and/or Science experience.
- Experience in a number of project management roles.
- Good understanding of CDM regulations.
- Good design management experience inclusive of C-Sheet approvals.
- Good contractor management experience.
- Experience of working with stakeholders/clients to produce Strategic Development Briefs and Client/User requirements.
- Experience of working as part of complex, multi-disciplinary/multi-agency Project Teams.
- Prince or MSP experience.
- General understanding of construction contracts.
- Work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge and experience of the Life Science and Tertiary Education sector (including current issues and business drivers) and local construction market.
- Excellent understanding of construction contracts JCT/NEC contracts.
- Excellent understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
- Professional Qualification – ideally Project Management/Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Master's Degree.
- Chartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE, or other equivalent institution.
- APM affiliation preferred (as secondary accreditation).
