We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Science Technician to join our team at a South East based secondary school. As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of science across the school.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the teaching and learning of science across the school, up to KS4 level.
- Ensure high standards of teaching and learning through the development and enhancement of teaching and learning resources.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of science equipment and materials.
- Provide technical support to science teachers and students.
- Contribute to the development of science curriculum and resources.
- A Levels or NVQ3 in Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities (LATA) or NVQ3 for Laboratory Technicians in Education or Level 3 Certificate in Laboratory Technical Skills or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation as it relates to the work of a school.
- Knowledge of COSHH and ESCC regulations in relation to the safe handling and storage of chemicals.
