About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Test Services Team in the UK. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting electro-mechanical test systems, developing electrical interface systems within the Test facility, and providing electrical facility support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and support electro-mechanical test systems
  • Develop electrical interface systems within the Test facility
  • Provide electrical facility support
  • Work with initiative and demonstrate technical competence of electro-mechanical systems, data acquisition techniques, and willingness to broaden experience of qualification testing
Requirements
  • Time served Apprenticeship, HNC/HND or BEng degree, plus relevant work experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety
  • Electrical circuit design and installation
  • PLC / HMI programming design and implementation
  • Motor control, electrical actuation and power generation equipment
  • Knowledge of control systems, data acquisition and instrumentation implementation would be advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of electrical calibration of transducers
  • Knowledge of testing techniques such as strength, fatigue and environmental would be advantageous
  • Proficient in MS IT packages such as Excel and Word and the compilation of technical reports
