Job Overview

MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading Consumer Goods company to find a skilled Mechanical Technician to support their production operations.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract role based in a manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend to and repair equipment breakdowns on production lines to minimize downtime.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for reporting, preventive maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Contribute to improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by identifying and implementing proactive measures to prevent failures.
  • Maintain and enhance on-site health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with production operators to promote best practices in mechanical equipment maintenance and operation.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to ensure technical expertise and support capabilities.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in the Consumer Goods industry is preferred.
  • Background in predictive and planned maintenance, as well as Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Educational background in an Engineering discipline, with a minimum of an ONC (Ordinary National Certificate) level qualification.
  • Experience with CMMS systems.
Working Arrangements

This role involves working shifts to support production operations.
