Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our VE Consultancy team at IES, working with top IESVE modellers. As an integral member of our international VE Consulting team, you will be responsible for meeting clients to establish project requirements and modelling complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage consultancy projects, including external communications and internal coordination of consultants' input on a global basis across all IES worldwide divisions.
  • Take responsibility for consultancy activities, including project planning, resource allocation, and client liaison.
  • Liaise with other IES Divisions to plan and manage consultancy support and resources, such as software testing.
  • Work as part of the IES consultancy team to operate the software on behalf of clients, including defining job specifications, quotations, and report writing.
  • Mentor and coach junior consultants on technical and project management aspects.
  • Provide technical support to customers and staff.
  • Contribute to consultancy sales and liaison with IES Business Development Managers.

Requirements

  • Experience in building physics using IES's VE Software, with a relevant engineering or architectural background.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, including experience in completing meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Education to degree level in a relevant discipline.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of UK building regulations Part L Section 6.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and/or modelling of systems.
  • Knowledge of BREEAM, NABERS, LEED, ASHRAE 90.1 analysis, and Passivhaus.
  • Experience in daylight modelling.
  • Analytical mindset and skills, including the use of spreadsheets.
  • Interest in Decarbonisation and Net-Zero strategies.
