Ecommerce Counselor

We're seeking a seasoned legal professional with a strong background in ecommerce, consumer protection, and regulatory matters. You'll be working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects against tight deadlines, ensuring that our ecommerce business operates within the bounds of UK and EU laws.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment, working on a wide range of commercial, regulatory, and product workstreams. Your expertise will help shape our ecommerce initiatives, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide expert advice on ecommerce matters, including consumer protection, B2B and B2C engagement, product compliance, advertising, influencer marketing, and intellectual property.
2. Support the business in understanding and complying with legal and regulatory requirements when launching and operating new products and features in the UK and EU.
3. Contribute to the continuous improvement of TikTok's ecommerce initiatives through review of consumer and business-facing disclosures, policies, and terms and conditions.
4. Review, draft, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements relevant to digital and ecommerce platforms.
5. Partner closely with local and international stakeholders across the ecommerce business to deliver projects against short timeframes.

Requirements

• A strong academic background, with legal qualifications in the UK and/or Europe.
• Senior-level experience advising on platform liability, intellectual property, consumer protection, and other regulatory matters, with an ecommerce focus.
• Knowledge of UK and EU laws as they apply to the retail sector and ecommerce platforms.
• Solid experience in drafting and negotiation of agreements across the retail, creative, and advertising industries.
• Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently on multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment.
