Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Labour Operations Coordinator to join our team at a busy manufacturing site in Carlisle. As a key member of the factory management team, you will be responsible for coordinating the contract workforce, ensuring they are working effectively and safely.

The successful candidate will have experience managing temporary or contract workers, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. You will be highly organized, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of health and safety regulations.

About the Role:

  1. Workforce Coordination: Coordinate the temporary workforce on-site, ensuring they are working effectively and safely.
  2. Collaboration with the Team: Collaborate with the factory management team to ensure staffing needs are met, and the recruitment campaign is delivered on time and to contract requirements.
  3. Project Management: Ultimate responsibility for the recruitment plan and managing the end-to-end recruitment process to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  4. Performance Monitoring: Track attendance, work quality, and productivity, stepping in when there are issues and helping workers succeed.
  5. Compliance: Ensure workers are following all safety regulations and procedures, and that the work environment is up to standard.
  6. Problem-Solving: Address any issues quickly, whether it's a staffing gap or a performance concern, and keep things moving smoothly.
  7. Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with the workers on-site and the factory team, acting as a key point of contact when there are any concerns or questions.

About You:

  1. Experience: Proven experience managing temporary or contract workers, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build good working relationships with staff and stakeholders.
  3. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and find solutions to complex problems.
  4. Organisation: Highly organised, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Health and Safety: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance in the workplace.
  6. Proactive Attitude: A proactive attitude, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and initiatives.

Salary: £33,000 per annum + quarterly bonus
