Clinical Services Manager Role

The Clinical Services Manager is a key position within Core Group, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical services that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

This role plays a central part in maintaining clinical governance frameworks, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement across both adult and children's services.

  1. Clinical Framework Management

    The Clinical Services Manager will develop, implement, and maintain the clinical governance framework in alignment with organisational goals and standards.

    They will ensure that clinical policies, procedures, and protocols are up to date and adhered to across all services.

    Additionally, they will monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to clinical quality and safety.

  2. Quality Assurance & Improvement

    The Clinical Services Manager will lead continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives across clinical services.

    They will implement improvement plans based on audit results and performance data.

  3. Risk Management

    The Clinical Services Manager will oversee the identification, assessment, and management of clinical risks.

    They will ensure systems are in place to report, investigate, and address clinical incidents, near misses, and complaints.

    Furthermore, they will develop and monitor action plans to mitigate risks and improve the safety of those we support.

  4. Training & Development

    The Clinical Services Manager will coordinate training programs related to clinical governance and quality for all staff.

    They will ensure clinical staff are informed and educated about policies, procedures, and governance issues.

    Additionally, they will promote a culture of continuous learning and development.

  5. Clinical Involvement

    The Clinical Services Manager will provide clinical input in the assessment and treatment of both young people and adults as necessary.

  6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

    The Clinical Services Manager will liaise with clinical teams, senior management, and external stakeholders to promote best practices in governance and care.

    They will chair or participate in clinical risk meetings.

  7. Data Management & Reporting

    The Clinical Services Manager will oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical performance data.

    They will use data to drive clinical improvements.

  8. Project Management

    The Clinical Services Manager will lead the implementation of the reunification fostering pathway.

    They will contribute to the development and launch of new services.

This is a hybrid role, where the Clinical Services Manager will interact regularly with clinical staff, residential staff, and senior leadership.

They will play a key role in setting up services related to fostering, contact services, and clinical-specific programs within Core Group.
