Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as an Early Years Higher Level Teaching Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in an Early Years setting, supporting the Class Teacher and contributing to the educational development of young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lesson Planning and Delivery: Assist the Class Teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons for students aged 3-5.
  2. Curriculum Implementation: Support with the implementation of curriculum objectives, ensuring that all activities are tailored to meet the individual needs of each child.
  3. Learning Environment: Foster a positive learning environment by providing guidance and support to students, promoting social and emotional development.
  4. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement effective strategies for enhancing student outcomes.
  5. Progress Monitoring: Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas where additional support may be required.
Requirements:
  • An Early Years qualification or ECT with experience in an Early Years setting.
  • A Degree in Education or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils, with knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
