We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect to join our growing team at BAE Systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects, mentor junior architects, and develop your skills in a collaborative environment.

About the Role

This position requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, architecture, and best practices. You will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive view of the security architecture across our application and information environment. Your expertise will ensure our Naval Ships' security posture is robust and risks are clearly understood and documented.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a comprehensive view of the security architecture across our application and information environment.
  • Ensure Naval Ships' security posture is robust and risks are clearly understood and documented.
  • Act as a consultative function to enterprise architecture to ensure all solution designs adhere to standards and baselines.
  • Deliver and take ownership of a security architecture strategy that underpins Naval Ships' strategy and objectives.
  • Establish standards for security architectural governance across all technology platforms throughout the organisation.
  • Provide specialist security advice and recommend approaches across programmes, teams, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Expert level knowledge of security architect, cyber security infrastructure technologies, including implementation and configuration.
  • Conversant with security best practices (including ISO27001 and/or NIST 800-53) and relevant security legislation.
  • Extensive experience working with internal and external service providers to deliver IT systems in a regulated / accredited environment.
