About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safeguarding Analyst to join our team at OVO Energy. As a Safeguarding Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding and protecting our customers, simplifying the business, and improving value to OVO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-class insight and concise data to understand and size opportunities to simplify, improve value, and increase customer protections.
  • Provide data-led evidence to support changes to reduce effort and failure demand and hence cost to operate.
  • Influence the wider data community across OVO to ensure that the correct data, structure, and governance is in place to support PAYGO requirements.
  • Deliver collaborative solutions where data gaps or uncertainty is present.
  • Ensure that key data and insight dependencies have contingency, by working across your own data colleagues and more broadly.
  • Where required, work with suppliers and partners to ensure that critical and useful data is consumable.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience of providing insight and data across energy supplier processes, or a relatable and transferable market that has complex end-to-end processes.
  • Strong experience in dealing with data using BigQuery and preferably experience with other programming languages, such as using Python or R to interrogate large data sets and identify actionable insights.
  • Ability to demonstrate how you've influenced business improvements using data and insight.
