Data Protection Manager Opportunity

Chadwick Nott is seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Manager to join their Risk & Best Practice team in Bath, Swindon, or Oxford.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Director of Risk and Best Practice in delivering the firm's risk management and compliance service, with a focus on data protection.
  • Update and monitor the firm's policies and procedures to ensure compliance with data protection laws.
  • Manage Subject Access Requests and other data requests, creating data protection impact assessments as needed.
  • Manage the ongoing appointment of the EU Data Representative and the annual renewal of that service.
  • Advise the firm on data protection and PECR implications of new business initiatives and general queries.
  • Manage and maintain the firm's Register of Processing Activities (Data Map) and risk assessments.
  • Advise on reported data breaches and identify opportunities to enhance protection of sensitive/higher risk data.
  • Keep up to date with changes to domestic and international data protection laws and update policies accordingly.

To be considered, you must have experience of managing data protection compliance with a strong knowledge of data protection laws applicable to the UK. Previous experience in a law firm is ideal but not essential.
