About the Job

This Claims Handler role is part of our Marine team at the Howden Group, a leading international insurance company.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in claims management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Main Tasks
  1. Managing Claims: Handling a portfolio of claims, ensuring timely and effective resolution, and maintaining accurate records.
  2. Client Communication: Providing exceptional client service, responding to queries, and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  3. Administrative Tasks: Maintaining diaries, reporting, and other administrative tasks to support the team.
Key Requirements
  • General Insurance Expertise: Strong knowledge of General Insurance principles and practices.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Education: GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent), Cert CII (desirable for this role).

Earnings Potential: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.
