Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing & Procurement: The successful candidate will source, negotiate, and purchase high-quality components and materials aligned with production requirements. They will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to understand Bill of Materials requirements, ensuring timely delivery of all necessary materials.
Order Management: The Acquisition Specialist will issue Purchase Orders, monitor order status, and expedite orders as needed to maintain a smooth production flow. This involves effective communication with suppliers to ensure best pricing, quality, and lead times.
Supplier Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers is crucial for achieving cost savings without compromising quality. The ideal candidate will have solid negotiation skills and the ability to develop and maintain supplier partnerships.
Cost Management: Negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery is essential for achieving cost savings. The Acquisition Specialist will work closely with inventory and warehousing teams to monitor stock levels, avoiding shortages or excess inventory.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Actively collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams is vital for supporting project goals and resolving issues promptly. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, enabling them to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience in a purchasing or acquisition role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Solid understanding of BoM requirements and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to develop and maintain supplier relationships.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
