Financial Coordinator Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Financial Coordinator Assistant to join our team in Leeds. As a permanent, full-time position, this role requires 37.5 hours per week. Our ideal candidate will have AAT Level 2 Certification in Accounting or equivalent experience and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of weekly BACS allocations, including payment uploads to Sage and remittance sending.
- Production of weekly supplier self-bills.
- Invoicing.
- Daily bank posting and cheque dispatch for the week, ensuring all month-end bank reconciliation items are posted.
- Bank reconciliations across four companies.
- POA report generation, matching off credit balances at month-end.
- Weekly/monthly supplier statement reconciliations and quarterly full ledger reconciliation.
- Daily purchase ledger uploading to Lightyear, sending for authorisation, and importing to Sage.
- Petty cash recording and posting to Sage.
- Franking post services.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is up to £28k, dependent on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including monthly KPI bonuses, holiday entitlement, employee assistance programmes, private healthcare schemes, ongoing training, and more.
Requirements:
- AAT Level 2 Certification in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of Sage (desirable but not essential).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Demonstrable experience working in a finance team or similar role.
- Excellent communication skills, especially telephone manner.
- Professionalism.
- Strong organisation and planning skills to deliver information accurately and on time.
- A hands-on approach and proven ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
