Accounts Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our client's finance team on a permanent basis, working 16 to 20 hours a week. The role is based in their Warrington office, where you will work in a small finance function, with a 3-day week, consisting of 2 six-hour days and 1 eight-hour day. Working hours are 9am-5pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

The hourly rate for this position is £17.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and posting journals, as well as uploading them to the system, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Quarterly VAT returns and Corporation Tax.
  • Experience with Xero Accounts and Sage Payroll is preferred.
  • Managing one member of the accounts team.
  • Reporting directly to the Managing Director to identify opportunities for improving finance processes and implementing changes.
  • Producing Sales Forecasts.
  • Essential skills include advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, with the ability to present and analyze data.
  • Preparing ad hoc reports for Directors.
  • Supporting payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, although not responsible for these tasks.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Experience with accounting software, such as Xero Accounts and Sage Payroll, is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Analytical and presentation skills.
