Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Engineer

Meridian Business Support is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of production and engineering machinery.

About the Role:
  • Minimise production downtime by troubleshooting breakdowns and preventing reoccurrences.
  • Work with electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation to undertake fault finding and modification of plant and equipment.
  • Use a Maintenance Management System to carry out preventative/planned maintenance work.
  • Contribute to improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and reducing recurring issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all EHS Company policies.
  • Continuously enhance job knowledge through training and development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a time-served apprenticeship with a minimum level 3 qualification, BTEC/City and Guilds or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated multiskilled proficiency in pneumatic/hydraulic systems, fabrication, and welding.
  • Proven competency in reading and interpreting electrical or mechanical diagrams, as well as troubleshooting control panels.
  • Ability to pass medical assessments for working at height and in confined spaces.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with office software applications.
  • Resilient, resourceful approach, with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Proactive work ethic, strong initiative, and the ability to operate independently within a shift team environment.
