We are seeking a skilled Specialist Learning Support Worker to join our team from January 2025.

About the Job

The successful candidate will work with our Post 16 students, providing support to enable them to access their learning, develop life skills, and overcome SEMH challenges. This role requires a flexible and adaptable individual who can work positively with students, promoting a safe and effective learning environment.

Main Duties
  1. To support the most vulnerable students with their SEMH needs, using problem-solving and creative thinking.
  2. To provide one-to-one support with specific tasks and activities, ensuring student engagement and participation.
  3. To liaise with therapists, teachers, and the Post 16 Lead to ensure coordinated support for students.
  4. To report problems to the Post 16 Lead when necessary, maintaining open communication channels.
  5. To use the student's paperwork, such as EHCP/therapy reports/EP reports, to guide activities and strategies.
About the Salary and Benefits

A competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, is offered. Additionally, we provide excellent training and ongoing support from experienced specialist teachers, as well as opportunities for career development and wide-ranging experiences.
