Job Description

The Audio Product Specialist will be the technical lead for identifying and assessing suitable radio equipment for operational use by public safety customers.

  1. Technical Assessments: Perform in-depth assessments on existing radio communications equipment, reporting on their operational usefulness in a public safety environment to the customer.
  2. Report Production and Review: Create and review reports detailing testing and technical assessments.
  3. Liaison and Collaboration: Liaise between the customer's occupational health department, working groups, and industry leaders to understand health and safety policies, noise-induced hearing loss, and practical applications.
  4. Acoustic Testing Services: Lead the acoustic testing services provided for the customer, offering recommendations for changes needed to update the services.
  5. Technical Expertise: Serve as the customer's technical expert in audio and acoustics, attending technical forums and meetings on their behalf as a consultant.

Required Qualifications

A strong background in professional mobile radio communications and associated audio accessories used with radio communications equipment is essential. This role requires excellent technical expertise and communication skills.

  1. Salary: An estimated £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  2. Holiday Entitlement: 25 days paid holiday, with the option to buy or sell additional days.

Additional Requirements
