Forestry Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Forestry Contracts Manager to join our team at our Workington Mill. As a key member of our Supply Chain area, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating work within the Forest areas.
The successful candidate will provide operational and logistical support to area managers as required, monitor and develop harvesting and haulage systems within the area, and work with the Forest Area Managers to support harvesting and haulage operations to ensure effective delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and coordinating work within the Forest areas
- Providing operational and logistical support to area managers
- Monitoring and developing harvesting and haulage systems within the area
- Working with the Forest Area Managers to support harvesting and haulage operations
- Conducting site inspections to monitor quality and compliance
- Ensuring operations comply with national legislation relating to environmental and health & safety guidelines
The successful Forestry Contracts Manager will have a relevant Forestry or land-based qualification, experience of managing harvesting operations, organizing transport and trading within the forestry supply chain, and appropriate training in both the working environment and Health & Safety.
