About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Domestic Abuse Early Responder. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in engaging with domestic abuse perpetrators in police custody, providing them with support and guidance to address their offending behavior.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have several years of experience working with domestic abuse perpetrators, completing risk assessments, and safeguarding victims, children, and families. You will also have experience in providing support, advice, and advocacy, as well as engaging successfully with challenging individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with domestic abuse perpetrators in police custody to discuss their offending behavior and provide support and guidance.
  • Complete risk assessments and develop DA offender risk management plans to ensure the safety of victims and families.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that increases in risk of harm are escalated rapidly and a multi-agency plan is in place.
  • Deliver a holistic support service to perpetrators, promoting positive change and reducing the risk of further harm.
What We Are Looking For
  • Several years of professional experience working with domestic abuse perpetrators.
  • Experience in completing risk assessments and safeguarding victims, children, and families.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of risk factors associated with perpetrators of domestic abuse and up-to-date housing, criminal, civil, and welfare rights legislation relating to domestic abuse.
