Job Description:
  • We are currently seeking a Special Education Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with children aged 5-11 who have Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.

As a Special Education Support Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment. This role is ideal for someone who wants to gain first-hand experience within the SEN/SEMH sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Working 1:1 with a child to promote learner growth and development.
  2. Gaining experience in behaviour management techniques and building rapport with young learners.
  3. Supporting children with various needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.
Requirements:
  • A DBS on the update service or willing to apply.
  • Experience working with SEMH/SEN students with challenging behaviour.
  • The ability to apply sensible and suitable behaviour management strategies when dealing with challenging/high-risk behaviour.
Estimated Salary:

£25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
