Job Title: Painter

We are seeking an experienced Painter to join our team at Ambitek Limited. As a Painter, you will be responsible for carrying out industrial painting activities on parts and equipment for the transport industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake spray, roller, and brush painting on assembled components.
  • Complete tasks adhering to manufacturers and company specifications.
  • Maintain equipment in line with suppliers' recommended guidelines.
  • Adhere to the company's HSE procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S standards.
  • Embrace Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies to meet customer needs.
  • Participate in training to enhance role/job knowledge.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by promoting cooperation with colleagues and other departments.
  • Adhere to company quality standards and procedures.
  • Safely carry out manual handling/lifting activities.
  • Work to route cards and SOPs, recording critical information.
Requirements:
  • Ability to use spray equipment and hand tools.
  • Background in a spray shop/industrial painting environment (desirable).
  • Good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Understanding of work instructions/procedures.
  • Physical capability to maneuver around components and manual handling of tooling/components.
  • Willingness to carry out a broad range of tasks across all areas of manufacturing process.
  • Excellent timekeeping, attendance, and safety awareness.
  • Basic understanding of lean principles (5S).
  • Excellent teamwork ethic.
Contract Details:

Umbrella Pay Rates: Basic rate £16.00 per hour (training if required on days). Shifts: 3 shifts Monday to Friday, £20.00 per hour.

PAYE Pay rates: Basic £14.48 per hour, 3 shifts £17.35 per hour.
