Job Description

Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Engineer to work at our customer's site in Derby. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, specifying, testing, and commissioning Electrical Control and Instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities
  1. System Design and Commissioning: Design, specify, test, and commission both bespoke and commercial Electrical Control and Instrumentation systems.
  2. Technical Documentation: Prepare technical reports and documentation to industry standards.
  3. Site Visits: Carry out occasional site visits to conduct design reviews, investigations, equipment trials, commissioning, and upgrade activities.
  4. Support to Installation Teams: Support install/commissioning teams to resolve queries/issues during installation, setup, and commissioning.
Qualifications and Experience
  • HND/Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in engineering design to commercial standards within the electrical, control, or automation industries.
  • Practical knowledge of instrumentation solutions and their implementation.
  • Understanding of testing, setting up, and commissioning C&I systems.
  • Familiarity with UKCA compliance and relevant European directives (Machinery, Low Voltage, and Electromagnetic Compatibility).
Estimated Salary

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
