We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Nursery Assistant at Harpenden Day Nursery, part of Grandir UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. They will be responsible for supervising and supporting children at all times, preparing and supervising activities, and contributing to maintaining a welcoming environment.

As a Nursery Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising and supporting children at all times
  • Preparing and supervising activities under the guidance of level 3 qualified practitioners
  • Contributing to maintaining an attractive and welcoming environment for the children
  • Reading, understanding, and implementing all company policies, procedures, and operational practices
  • Maintaining a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, visitors, and work colleagues
  • Attending regular staff meetings, planning meetings, and undertaking training as required
