About the Firm

Cathedral Appointments | South West Recruitment is working with a small regional law firm to support its continued success. The firm is keen to develop its Private Client team to complement its existing services and expand in the regional market.

About the Role

As a Private Client Solicitor, you will be based in the Taunton office and undertake a varied and interesting non-contentious client caseload. This will include the administration of estates, wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, trust drafting, and tax planning. You will also be responsible for succession planning for business owners, farmers/landowners, and professionals, as well as larger estate administrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake and build a varied and interesting non-contentious client caseload
  • Administer estates, draft wills, and create Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies
  • Provide succession planning services for business owners, farmers/landowners, and professionals
  • Supervise and develop less experienced members of the team

About You

We are looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor who takes pride in delivering exceptional client service. You will have a proven track record of providing technical advice to colleagues and clients, and be able to work strategically with clients and as part of a team. You will possess strong analytical and communication skills, and be able to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of work.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Private Client Solicitor
  • Proven expertise in wills, trusts, tax planning, and estate administration
  • STEP qualification or in the process of gaining this
