About the Opportunity

Jacobs Nuclear is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners) arrangement. This 20-year partnership delivers ~£7bn of major projects, site-wide improvements, and provision of supporting services. As a Senior Structural Designer, you will be part of the PPP Team, driving change and innovation in engineering, safety, and delivery solutions in one of the most complex industrial sites in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dependent on experience, the role may include checking of modelling and drawing output.
  • Attend regular model reviews/space management meetings and represent the CS&A discipline, presenting the model at these.
  • Work closely with CS&A Engineers/Architects and modelers from other disciplines to co-ordinate the development of the model.
  • Work with CS&A Engineers and Architects on Specifications, preferably with experience using NBS Chorus.
  • Fulfil the Designer role under the CDM Regulations.

Requirements
  • Experience using Revit, Civils 3D, AutoCAD 2D, and Autodesk Design Review to produce GA and detail drawings in a BIM environment.
  • Experience using British and European Standards and Building Regulations, and the methodologies required when detailing elements.
  • Experience in detailing below ground drainage and services; groundworks; steelwork, and reinforced concrete.
  • Working knowledge of CDM.
