Design Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Kier Group. As a Design Manager, you will play a key role in the management and delivery of design in accordance with the agreed design programme, design responsibilities, and deliverable schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide design input at both preconstruction and construction stages of projects.
  • Produce design programmes, design scopes, design responsibility matrices, appointments, and schedules.
  • Attend and chair necessary meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the design is compliant with relevant legislation and technical requirements.
  • Embed sustainability requirements within the design.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in a design role within a main contractor environment.
  • Experience of BIM level 2 projects, including COBie data, LoDM.
  • Experience across one or more of the sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, and residential.
  • Full UK Driving License.
