About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to join our Supply Chain Team at Reed. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of day-old chicks across the UK and EU.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with colleagues and 3rd party logistics providers to plan and execute transportation methods.
  • Ensure full compliance with all necessary regulations, including driver, transport, animal welfare, and health & safety.
  • Manage the transport budget and optimize costs to ensure the most cost-effective delivery of day-old chicks.
  • Support the quality team in investigating complaints and assist in the arrangement of procurement and lease agreements for new vehicles.
  • CPC qualified and member of the Animal Transport Association, with good knowledge of animal welfare regulations and customs procedures.
