Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Specialist to support our Head of Health and Safety in delivering excellence in our health & safety performance.

About the Role
  • Support the Head of Health and Safety to deliver on Scania's vision of becoming the best in class for our industry, with a focus on developing a mature and robust health & safety culture.
  • Develop and review risk assessments and safe systems of work for core operational activities and non-routine business, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Monitor accident & incident reporting, conducting thorough investigations as required to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Create weekly and monthly statistic reports, presenting findings in the weekly health and safety update to stakeholders.
  • Monitor contractors, including conduct and credentials, to ensure they meet our standards.
  • Review, improve, and create health and safety processes and systems of work to maintain a high level of performance.
Your Qualifications and Skills
  • NEBOSH certification (ideally working towards NEBOSH Diploma) or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills to present and communicate changes, statistics, processes, and updates to stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficient IT literacy to manage internal health and safety systems, with experience using software tools to track and analyze data.
  • Ability to travel and build relationships with branches throughout the UK network, promoting health and safety awareness and best practices.
