Kitchen Assistant

About the Role:
In our HC-One care homes, we value one thing above all: kindness. As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll be part of a team that prioritizes Resident wellbeing and provides a safe, supportive environment for everyone.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and serving nutritious, healthy meals that our residents will love.
- Demonstrate the highest standards in cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene.
- Maintain food supplies and fridge/freezer temperatures, and show new starters how to use the equipment.
- Scrub that last bit of spilled food from inside the oven, always with Resident wellbeing in mind.
What We're Looking For:
- A Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience.
- An NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or the willingness to study for one.
- Great record-keeping and organisational skills.
- The ability to follow recipes and communicate with Residents and colleagues in a considerate and kind manner.
