Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Class 2 HGV driver to join our team at Driver Hire Southampton. As a Class 2 HGV driver, you will be responsible for delivering steel products to various locations across the South Coast area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a Class 2 HGV vehicle, as well as 7.5T and Van when required
  • Complete deliveries of steel products to various locations
  • Work in a warehouse environment when required, including picking and packing, loading and unloading, and stock checking
  • Strap and secure steel products for transportation
  • Ensure all deliveries are made on time and to a high standard
  • Follow company health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

  • Full UK Class 2 HGV licence
  • Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
  • A minimum of 1 year experience driving Class 2 HGV vehicles
  • Strapping experience
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads
  • Flexible to work where required
  • Own transport to commute to and from work
  • Fantastic customer service skills
