Junior Insolvency Administrator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Insolvency Administrator to join our established team in Manchester. As a key member of our Restructuring Services team, you will be responsible for supporting our Insolvency Practitioners in a portfolio of corporate insolvency engagements.
Job Purpose:The purpose of this role is to assist in the progression of corporate insolvency cases, with a focus on Creditors' Voluntary Liquidations and Administrations. You will work closely with our case managers and officeholders to ensure efficient and effective case progression.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with day-to-day case-related matters to contribute to case progression.
- Carry out assigned duties efficiently, thoroughly, and in accordance with relevant legal and statutory obligations.
- Manage your own workflows, agreeing priorities with your manager.
- Prepare statutory notices, assist with report writing, and meet deadlines.
- Assist with the preparation of correspondence to stakeholders, including notices, decision procedures, and redundancy information.
- Assist with areas of investigation work to meet the requirements of SIP2 and CDDA, and contribute to reports for submission to the Insolvency Service.
- Assist in maintaining the receipts and payments account, preparing vouchers for the cashier team to update the case cashbook.
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns, as required.
- Attend meetings and assist with documenting discussions at meetings for the case file, including action points to follow up.
- Contribute to the case strategy and prepare draft file notes for manager review.
- Contribute to case reviews.
- Assist with VAT, PAYE, and CT compliance.
- Support the team in keeping the case checklists and diaries up to date.
- Deal with creditor queries and correspondence, logging claims received.
- Assist with compliance regarding company records.
- Assist with progressing asset realisations.
- Assist with the marketing process when a business is offered for sale.
- Assist with an on-site role in trading scenarios.
- No prior experience of corporate insolvency work is necessary, as full training will be given.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office.
- Good communication skills.
- Works well in a team and effectively under time pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Possesses strong organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work with good attention to detail.
- Able to carry out independent research.
- Keen to develop self.
- Accounting and insolvency-specific training and qualifications available for the successful candidate who progresses well in the role.
