**Job Opportunity for a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist**


We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical assessments and treatment plans for children, young people, and their families.


**About the Role**


In this role, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver a safe, effective, and caring service to young people with mental health difficulties and their families. You will be responsible for conducting psychiatric and physical investigations, developing individually tailored treatment plans, and participating in service and business planning activities.


**Key Responsibilities**


• Conduct high-quality clinical assessments and develop treatment plans for children, young people, and their families.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver a safe and effective service.
• Participate in service and business planning activities to ensure the efficient running of services.
• Maintain professional registration and abide by professional codes of conduct.
• Engage in medical appraisal and revalidation as set out in the Trust policy.
• Attend and participate in the academic programme of the Trust, including lectures and seminars.


**Requirements**


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years' medical work experience, with a minimum of six years in a relevant specialty. They will also have completed a minimum of 12 years' medical work experience since obtaining a primary medical qualification and have key generic clinical skills.
