Working as a Dental Nurse
A dental nurse works closely with the dentist to assist in various NHS and private dental procedures, ensuring the best possible patient experience. As a trainee dental nurse, you'll work in a supportive environment where we foster great teams, trust each other, work professionally, and take ownership of the practice's success. This includes:
- Providing chairside support to the dentist, ensuring the right equipment and materials are available
- Supporting a wide range of patients
- Following practice health and safety and infection control procedures
- Keeping clinical areas and equipment clean, tidy, and disinfected
- Accurately completing patient clinical records
- Completing daily, weekly, and monthly logs and checks
Support for Your Career Development
Rodericks Dental Partners will support trainee nurses who have signed up to or are working towards a dental nursing qualification. For those without a course, we can assist in finding a course provider. The National Diploma in Dental Nursing (Level 3) qualification includes:
- On-the-job training
- Online learning
- Face-to-face training sessions
- Completion of a record of experience
- Written and practical exams
