Your role as a Maintenance Management Specialist will be to lead a team of trade operatives in a Social Housing setting, ensuring repairs are undertaken safely and within timescales. The ideal candidate has a trade background with experience in dealing with direct employees and handling employee issues.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage repairs efficiently and cost-effectively, adhering to Health and Safety policies.
  2. Hold performance meetings with team members, assist with training and development via toolbox talks, coaching, etc.
  3. Provide technical advice, support, and guidance to operatives and follow escalation procedures.
  4. Undertake quality assessments and provide instructions to rectify snagging, defects, and/or uncompleted works.
  5. Liaise with tenants regarding service provision and resolve issues/managing expectations.
  6. Ensure admin work is carried out accurately and on time.
Required Skills
  1. Strong technical knowledge - a trades background (carpentry, plumbing, roofing, groundworks, decorating, etc.).
  2. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  3. Ability to implement company policies and processes.
  4. Good Excel/Outlook and General IT skills.
  5. Good commercial awareness and understanding of cost impact.
  6. Clean, manual, UK driving license.
  7. SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
