About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our cardiac physiology team, you will be responsible for performing complex clinical procedures, interpreting data, and providing expert advice to patients and healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform pacemaker/device lead interrogation and analysis during implantation and follow-up clinics.
  • Interpret complex clinical information and apply theoretical knowledge to deliver comprehensive assessments and analyses of pacemaker/ICD/CRT systems.
  • Produce accurate and comprehensive reports for each investigation, ensuring timely and accurate uploading onto cardiology reporting systems.
  • Assist with cardiac angiography/PCI, including interpretation, reporting, and patient care.
  • Supervise junior staff within the department, ensuring issues or problems are reported to the Principal Cardiac Physiologist.

Person Specification
  • Relevant BSc or equivalent experience.
  • Able to use specialized software and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Accredited within the field of CRM by BHRS, EHRA, or IBHRE.
  • Practical experience in technical cardiology for a minimum of 4 years.
  • At least 1 year of experience at a specialist level of independent practice within Cardiology.
