About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a warm and welcoming primary school in Hillingdon. The successful candidate will have experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a commitment to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support for children with ASD in Key Stage 1 and 2
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored learning strategies
  • Use specialist resources and techniques to engage and encourage students
  • Monitor and record student progress, supporting their emotional and social development
  • Collaborate with the SEN team to ensure each child's needs are fully met
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • A relevant qualification in SEN is beneficial but not essential; experience is key
  • Passion for nurturing and guiding children in a supportive, patient manner
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with staff and parents
  • Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
